Less than a month to go...

Welcome all.

In 23 days and 16 hours, I will be stepping onto a plane in San Francisco International Airport en route to Copenhagen, Denmark, thus beginning my exciting European endeavor that will last 9 months. As many of you know, I study Architecture at Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo. The fourth (of five) is designed to give students like myself opportunities to study abroad. I will be attending a school named Danish Institute for Study Abroad (DIS). DIS is one of the best Study Abroad programs in Europe with a reputable architecture program that draws students from all over the United States.

I have been blessed to have so many friends and relatives who care for me and will want to be know what I am up to. Therefore, I will be using this blog to communicate as best I can my life in Denmark and adventures throughout Europe. I anticipate there will be a plethora of pictures to accompany the carefully (and not-so-carefully) written posts to chronicle my adventures abroad.

I am very excited for this opportunity to study in what has been recently named the "happiest nation on earth."

Things I am looking forward to most:
1. meeting my host family (hopefully I get one)
2. being a student again (work is alright, but its not architecture, and being a college student is so much more fun)
3. European techno clubs (America just doesn't get it)
4. Copenhagen! (apparently its an amazing city)
5. Traveling! (so many cool places and architecture to see in Europe)

Things I think I will miss the most: (stay posted)
1. Friends and Family (so many people I am truly going to miss seeing for 9 months)
2. Being a college kid in SLO (aka San Luis Obispo)
3. Grace Church (my church family in SLO)
4. Mexican Food (I honestly don't know how I will survive without Burritos)
5. Opportunities to play music (being able to play violin and guitar on a regular basis is such a significant part of who I am, its going to be really hard going without, not to mention my musician friends to play with)

So there you have it. My first post of many (hopefully) to come.
Edit: I will leave for Denmark on Saturday, August 23rd
